Mark was born in the wilds of West Yorkshire and learned to play keyboards at the age of 9 and hasn't improved since. It was however his love of electronic music and Gary Numan + Ultravox that set him on his way to a long and average musical career. I am truly 80's and do not apologise for that so anyone who likes synths and the 'proper 80's' feel free to listen and comment and buy 'plain buy' as I have a hungry, actually starving keyboard to feed! I have worked as a staff nurse fo 16 years in a busy hospital in Leeds . I now play in a 4 piece cabaret band. I live with my wife and cat in a small flat in London , which half of is taken up with keyboards and gear. Most recently I returned from 6 months in Mallorca performing to holiday markers & scrounging pints. Truly the Rock n' Roll lifestyle I craved as a kid! The new album ‘Homecoming', is a collection of my material that I actually enjoy playing and writing. Not everyone's cup of tea, but its mine, and I hope a few others. Feel free to email me a chat about the music, the weather and price of beans, ta. 'Homecoming', has taken 3 years in putting together through various problems of working abroad and general living, oh and failing to find the holy grail, which took awhile too. Other on-going projects include: Replicas, a Gary Numan tribute band, best and worst of the electo-maestro.
Joining his first band at the age of 14, playing original material and rock covers of Led Zeppelin, Supertramp and Genesis.
I have spent the last 25 years playing in various bands playing various genres and playing cabaret music to earn on honest crust. So basically I sold my soul for Rock n Roll & money to pay my bills.
My trek back into education in 1997 lasted 4 years at LMU in Leeds doing a Music Tech degree, well 1 year in uni and 3 years in the bar where most of my contacts were made “the old beer network!”.
